There are two things that strike me when I engage with people who claim to prefer science to religion. The first is the claim that science and religion are somehow essentially opposed to one another (
which isn't true). The second is that the Christianity that they reject doesn't look anything like the Christianity that I know and love. I'm really surprised that many who value science so highly fail to employ the scientific method when it comes to assessing the truth (or otherwise) of Christianity. They often rely on second-hand information and conjecture rather than examining primary source data.
I've put together this checklist for those who aren't Christians to ensure that they take a scientific approach to examining the evidence in order to form an accurate view of what Christianity is all about.
