We Are Women

At Student Life in Newcastle, we're very excited to have just launched our We Are Women project. We Are Women aims to empower women on campus to creatively explore, express and celebrate who they are.

We're running a photo project in partnership with The Holy Biscuit, discussion groups and outreaches to engage, affirm and build friendships with women on campus on deepening levels.

We had our first photo shoot last week and it was great fun! The next photo shoots are 3 - 5 Feb and are open to all students who identify as female to come along and write their message to other women. After that, there will be an exhibition and celebration evening at The Holy Biscuit. All participants will then be invited to discussion groups to explore issues such as identity, relationships and satisfaction.



We Are Women is part of Student Life's Speak Out women's project which has been run at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
