Why believe? 6 bonus apologetics sites and apps
In May I did a series on 12 apologetics sites and apps. You can see 1 - 6 here and 7 - 12 here.
Here are a further 6 resources that are helpful for people exploring Christianity, or helpful for Christians who want to have robust answers to difficult questions.
(1) Christian Apologetics Alliance
The CAA is an evangelical, non-denominational Christian ministry. It concentrates on a robust defence of the central claims of Christianity, rather than secondary issues about which Christian may disagree.
It’s an extensive and well-organised site covering such topics as arguments for God; science, faith and reason; New Atheism; Reliability of the Bible; Historicity of Jesus and World views and religions.
(2) Freelance Theology
Freelance Theology is run by a friend of mine - Jon the Freelance Theologian who regularly appears on UCB and Premier radio. Jon has a rigorous theological understanding and aims to be impartial and balanced in presenting different theological points of view, where a divergence of viewpoints exist.
A great feature of the site is that you can submit your own question for Jon to answer and there’s nothing he’s afraid to tackle. There’s also a feature to click for a random question and answer which is great fun!
(3) BioLogos
BioLogos is a beautifully presented site run by distinguished scientists who are Christians. The site presents the truth of the compatibility of science and faith. There are fascinating questions, blogs, discussion forums, videos - well worth exploring.
(4) christianity.org.uk
Run by the Christian Enquiry Agency, an agency of Churches Together in England. It is a non-denominational ministry seeking to help people understand the truth about Jesus and Christianity. There are lots of interesting articles, each of which is accompanied by an extract from the Bible with a short explanation, a selection of quotes from well-known people and an opportunity to add your own prayer in response.
(5) Cold Case Christianity

This site is run by J. Warner Wallace, a cold-case homicide detective and former atheist who takes a meticulous evidential approach in examining the Christian worldview. The articles cover a wide range of topics from morality and theology to culture and the soul, and each article can be exported as a PDF and easily shared. There are also loads of videos, podcasts, teaching material and stuff for kids, links and more on this comprehensive site and accompanying app.
(6) Cross Examined

Android app download
There’s a wealth of helpful material on this site aimed at helping young people intellectually engage with Christianity. There are articles, videos, podcasts and an online course.

I hope you enjoy investigating the above. If you missed the rest of the series, you can see the first 6 apologetics websites here and the second 6 apologetics websites here.
