Hacking the system: a poem

Hacking the system

By binary design
all is data
Bits and bytes surging
through the machine veins
No feelings can travel
the information superhighway

But then a technician
opened the window
and let love flood the system
like a virus

Programmers and analysts rushed in
with lines upon lines of code
as sirens blared

All is broken
data is lost
We face an unencoded future
that can’t be backed up or downloaded

We’ve hacked the system
and made it live
